Cloud Lifted Tea
I have to confess that I pieced together this recipe from ingredients I had in my spice cabinet based on fragrance compatibility. With that said, it seems our subconscious really is all-knowing!
A simple blend of fresh ginger, fresh vanilla bean along with dried fennel seeds and cardamom seeds not only makes for a delicious tea, but also in a unified effort can be quite good for your over all well being.
Fennel for example is not only packed with phytonutrients, it’s also an antioxidant. It is an amazing immune support and excellent source of vitamin C as well as an aid in cardiovascular and colon health.
Cardamom you’d likely identify in flavor as a spice used in Indian cooking. What’s even more amazing about it beyond it’s flavor is that it also helps to naturally fight depression and stress! Its a well known cancer fighter helping to specifically ward off hormone responding cancers ( breast, overran and prostate to name a few) thanks to it’s phyto-chemicals. Its also wonderful in treating oral disorders.
Ginger is not only spicy and warms the body on a cold day it also works wonders to alleviate stomach aches, nausea and gastrointestinal distress. It’s also an anti-inflammatory! Folks with Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis take note, a regular dose of ginger in your daily diet may help! Ginger has also been linked to cell death in Ovarian cancer cells. On a very basic level, ginger also helps induce healthy sweating which well help protect you during flu and cold season.
Vanilla is an antioxidant, aphrodisiac, anti carcinogenic, antidepressant, tranquilizing and relaxing substance. Now doesn’t that sound reassuring in the face of stress and depression? In addition, vanilla helps to promote sexual arousal. Especially in Men. Studies show that Men suffering from erectile dysfunction or loss of libido helped to relieve their problems with vanilla oil. Why? Vanilla oil promotes secretion of testosterone and estrogen which in turn can bring on normal sexual behavior or function.
So with all of these amazing attributes combined, not only does Cloud Lifted Tea taste delicious and feel good to drink, it also promotes well being. Remember this recipe in the midst of a long stretch of rain, an extra cold and snowy month or whenever your heart feels a little too heavy. In making a tiny effort you may just bring about clear-headiness and relief for your body, mind and soul.
